Benefits of Tawakkul

"And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die" (Al-furqan 25:58)

Tawakkul is the “trust and reliance on Allah” that is accepting the results that He decides regardless of how they may turn out to be. 

In Holy Quran, Allah says: “And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever places his trust in Allah, Sufficient is He for him, for Allah will surely accomplish His Purpose: For verily, Allah has appointed for all things a due proportion.”

Tawakkul involves belief, dependence and action mean we have to rely on Allah because without His permission nothing could happen or occur. If we believe on Allah then it means we have our faith in Him, so we can say Tawakkul is the part of One’s faith. In Holy Quran Allah says: “The Believers Are Only Those Who, When Allah Is Mentioned, Feel a Fear in Their Hearts and When His Verses Are Recited to Them, They Increase Their Faith; And They Put Their Trust In Their Lord.” (Quran, Surah Al-Anfal)

The Quran even says that only those, who possess faith and tawakkul, shall be able to exhibit resistance vis-à-vis satanic whisperings and not be influenced by them.

“Surely he has no authority over those who believe and rely on their Lord.” (16:99).

Relying on Allah delivers man from being dependent (on others) - a state, which is the source of humiliation - and imparts freedom and self-confidence to him so tawakkul has been presented as being the actual dwelling place of independence and honour.

This can be concluded that tawakkul means that man, in the face of problems, does not experience a feeling of weakness and inferiority, but instead considers himself victorious by relying on the infinite power of Allah. Thus, tawakkul is a hope-inspiring, energy-insuntiling and reinforcing factor which increases perseverance and resistance.
