Do I need to have memorized the Quran to get Ijazah?
No. Ijazah in recitation (as opposed to Ijazah in Hifz) requires that you recite the entire Quran correctly with Tajweed β but not that you have it memorized. You may recite from the Mushaf during your sessions.
